How do you create a successful pipeline partnership that leads from pre-apprenticeships to registered apprenticeship?  This webinar will explore the step-by-step process Ulster YouthBuild (Ulster, New York) took to develop their manufacturing career pathway in partnership with their primary employer partner, FALA Technologies.  Although this webinar will focus on a manufacturing pathway, the design and development process can be replicated for any career pathway.

Description

In this webinar you will learn how the deep involvement of the employer partner uniquely positioned Ulster YouthBuild to take the lead in developing the apprenticeship component and bringing in additional partners, including manufacturing associations and community colleges.

This partnership has also sparked the development of a working group of YouthBuild programs from New York and Massachusetts who are interested in taking the experience of Ulster YouthBuild to develop a Construction Plus manufacturing pathway or placement strategy more broadly.  In addition to the specific pathway model, the webinar will provide an overview of apprenticeships and highlight information on national apprenticeship initiatives.
